"My moods are all childish responses to situations around me".
Most artists I predict don't like standing in front of a blank canvas. For me I love the start of the race and the feeling of not knowing where I am going to go when I start to add the colours. I like to do my expressionist pieces in stages. If I'm in a good mood at the start and I'm letting paint dry then my accountant calls me and I'm in then in a bad mood I might add something that shows that emotion.
So each JackCB piece is a Jekyll and Hyde - so many different emotions in them all at different stages.
My favourite piece is Plum Orchard and I hope will one day become the tea towels and on the mugs and plates like a Jack Vettriano piece. We are looking at doing limited editon Glycee prints for Plum Orchard and a few others.... so watch this space" - JackCB
Plum Orchard
"Plum Orchard is one of my favourites. I used primers in White and Grey for the background for this piece to give a misty grey start to the morning.
The loose brush work for the blue trees and branches was free-forming technique. I then swirled colours of green, purple and yellow for the plums" - JackCB

Nice Bright Smile
"For this one I decided to throw away my paintbrush and squeeze acrylic paints across a canvas in the style of the Union Flag. I sit on the fence when it comes to devolution - but if you get me s**t faced you'll find out my true opinions - oh, and it is called 'Nice Bright Smile' because it looks like dried toothpaste on the canvas.... minty fresh"
